I’m not a huge fan of the Secretary, and the Department is one of the least efficient, least competent organizations I’ve ever encountered.  But there’s really no point getting into an argument with Chertoff.  He’s got four or five months until he’s out of there.  I hope that the Obama administration can get competent people to run the Department.
