I am deeply saddened by the passing of Senator Jesse Helms. He was a man of impeccable integrity and no one ever had to question where he stood on the issues. He personified the term “public servant” due to his tireless efforts to help the people of North Carolina. He was a conservative legend and his strong and uncompromising voice on behalf of conservative values will be greatly missed.
