Administration Needs to Address Unfair Trade to Stem Jobs Loss

Today’s jobs report offers more troubling signs for domestic manufacturing. In April and May 2008, the U.S. lost 95,000 good-paying manufacturing jobs. The loss of another 33,000 manufacturing jobs in June adds weight to calls for strong action by Congress and the Administration to address our nation’s flawed trade policies and unfair foreign trade practices such as dumping, subsidies, and illegal currency manipulation.
