Three days after the 5th anniversary of the beginning of the Iraq War, we have reached 4,000 American casualties.  This was a misbegotten war based on false and distorted intelligence.  It was also a mismanaged war based on arrogance and ineptitude.  While we salute the bravery of our American troops, we must also condemn this failed foreign policy which has not made us safer, but cost us tremendously in both lives and resources.
