Berkeley’s recent conduct towards our United States Marine Corps. is a direct insult to the men and women who protect our country and its liberties. I was appalled when I learned of a resolution passed by Berkeley City Council and later corroborated by the city’s mayor. The resolution that declares Marines in their city are ‘uninvited and unwelcome intruders’ should be repealed immediately. The general public is clearly as offended as I am by Berkeley’s outrageous statement against our military personnel.
