Anti-War Should Not Equate to Anti-USMC (Rep. Kevin Brady)
February 7th, 2008
I have a brother who has served in Iraq, and I think the choices that Berkeley city leaders have made are not just extreme but dangerous towards America’s fighting men and women.
You cannot enjoy the freedom of this great country while deliberately damaging the marines and soldiers who risk their lives every single day for that freedom. I believe that taking away pork barrel earmarks is the price that Berkeley city leaders will have to pay for their actions.
There is just a far extreme element in our country that apparently opposes this war so much that they are letting their hatred spill over to the men and women who fight for our country.
