There are numerous financial needs to continue moving our 9-1-1 system forward in order to serve the public and first responders.  Technology continually advances, as well, which makes it both a better and more expensive system to operate.

Voice over Internet services also need to advance in their 9-1-1 capabilities, as they become more popular.  Finally, we believe that establishing a 9-1-1 education month and first responder appreciation day will help highlight and educate citizens about emergency services in our communities.
